The brief
Siemens’ business model was evolving. It is no longer just a manufacturer of hardware, but a provider of technology focused services and platforms. Siemens needed a way to talk about this shift and remind people that it has always been a company of visionary inventors, revolutionising technology with world-firsts.
Outcomes
We created a digital experience never seen – or heard – before. Using incredibly precise audio capture technology, we recorded every sound during a run of high drama Bayern Munich football games. Thousands of data points were transformed into a 3D soundscape, which, combined with on-pitch data, revealed how fan energy influences player performance.
My role
As team lead, I oversaw planning, production and delivery of the project - engaging the right technical partners, leading UX / UI design through to development and managing a large group of stakeholders from clients to media partners.
Recognition
The project earned over 50 items of editorial coverage including MSN, CNN, Reuters and The Independent. It was awarded Gold in the 2018 Information is Beautiful awards and the Siemens project lead was named as a 2018 “Innovator 25” by the Holmes Report.
